Do YOU want to make a difference? We, at the Detroit Fitness Foundation, are raising money to send our Junior Track Team, to the National Track Championships in Carson, California, being held July 2-7, 2019. 

The Detroit Fitness Foundation operates the Lexus Velodrome, the nation's Premier Indoor track cycling venue, located in Downtown Detroit. Our goal is to develop and provide fitness and sporting opportunities for underprivileged youth. To date, we have taught hundreds of area youth the basic skills of cycling, and advancement into track cycling.  We provide our various programs and equipment, totally free, for youth 17yrs and under.

"The Carrot" -- after a years' worth of training and dedication to the American Cycling League's Elite Junior program, an all expenses paid trip to USA Cycling's Junior Track Nationals, this year in Carson, California. For several of these young riders, this will be their first trip outside of Michigan -- and first flight on an airplane.

In 2018, we sent 8 very deserving kids to Trexlertown in Pennsylvania to race against the nation's best track racing talent, and we came away with medals and memories to last a lifetime. 

For 2019, we have nearly 20 kids who have been putting in the work and are ready to compete at the highest level. Despite the 2,000 mile trip from Detroit, we are committed to fostering the next wave of Olympic athletes by sending our strongest field yet to compete.
