Donate to Support Kibera & Kenya Youth Fund
Hope and Shine Kibera Center (HSKC) is located in the heart of Kibera, Nairobi’s largest slum in Kenya. Founded in 2018 by four local tour guides, the center has been dedicated to offering quality education and artistic development opportunities to vulnerable children in the community. Programs include daycare, kindergarten, lower primary classes, and an activities center that supports both academic and co-curricula growth.
With increasing enrollment (current enrollment is at 50 children) and demand for a conducive learning environment, we are seeking support for the renovation of their existing library and the construction of two additional classrooms to meet the educational needs of the children we serve. Your support also ensures the future of the Hope and Shine Center, where youth get a fine education and nutritious meals in a nurturing and positive environment!
We kindly appeal to friends and family, well-wishers, foundations, and community partners to support this initiative with your tax deductible donation to the Kibera and Kenya Youth Fund, at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, a 501(c)(3) organization. With your contribution, we will be able to offer the children of Kibera a better chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Education is the foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. Performing and visual arts nurture creativity, self-expression and social and personal growth. Nutritious meals are a necessity of life and you/we have the ability to make that happen for them! With your help, HSKC will continue to be a place of hope, learning, and transformation for the children in one of Kenya's most underserved communities.
Thank you for your support!
