Irene O’Connell Center Donations
On her 60th Birthday, Susan O’Connell invites you to celebrate with her by honoring her mother’s memory and a cause that was dear to her heart…the Community Action Programs Inter-City, Inc., (CAPIC) Head Start Program.
The Irene O’Connell Center was dedicated in 2000 in honor of Susan’s mother who worked tirelessly on behalf of CAPIC Head Start’s children and families. Head Start provides education, health, nutrition and family services to Revere’s low income children and families. The Irene O’Connell Center is not only home to three of CAPIC’s preschool classrooms that serve over 50 children daily, but is also home to the Revere Police Department’s Police Activities League. The PAL Program greatly benefits the neighborhood and community providing local at-risk youth with free alternative activities such as basketball leagues and sports-related programming. The Irene O’Connell Center also houses community organizations that provide adult education to local residents. The Center reflects CAPIC’s mission which in part is to empower individuals and families to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
A donation to CAPIC’s Head Start program will help enhance the services and resources that the program provides to the most vulnerable children and their families living in Revere. CAPIC is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible. To learn more about CAPIC, you can visit www.capicinc.org
