Support King's Inn Community!
On June 2, 2017 The King's Inn, a place where 138 adults and 41 children call home was sold to a new owner. As the days unfolded so has the crisis & chaos. Families who have called this motel home for years, for a multitude of reasons including lack of affordable housing, rental barriers such as a distant history of felony or eviction or low wage jobs, are now unable to pay increased weekly rates. Rates that have skyrocketed, sending even the littled residents into tears.

For 18 years, CCN has honored its mission of supporting families living in motels along east Colfax Avenue, such as the 179 residents of King's Inn. For over nearly two decades, CCN has watched generations of children grow, and families celebrate life's highs and lows throuh its 5 programs.
Today, CCN asks for your support of this community in a new way. This fundraiser will support the 138 adults and 41 children currently residing at the motel who now are being forced out immediately to find alternative housing solutions. This crisis needs you! We are currently working around the clock to get families into appropriate housing, working with oustanding community partners and The City of Aurora. Costs are adding up: families will need furniture, food, support with deposits and rental assistance, moving, etc. Time is of the essence as we work to keep these families off the streets.
