Help Feed Holocaust Survivors For Chagim
Hi Everyone,
A friend from Colel Chabad reached out to me informing me they have a shortage of food to provide Holocaust survivors for Chagim.
Usually Colel Chabad gets left over food from the army and repackages it. This year, many soldiers will be home for chagim so there will be a lot less food for military to provide during the holiday season. It costs 18 shekel or $5.6 per meal. Seams like a small price to pay to ensure these special and mostly lonely people have food for Chagim.
Every shekel counts!!
Numbers:
- Survivors: 1,000
- Meals: 18,000 (4 meals Rosh Hashana, 4 meals Yom Kippur, 10 meals Sukkot)
- Cost per meal: 18 shekel or $5.6
This whole project costs 324,000 shekel of which an organization called Leket Israel will provide 50% of the funds. That means 162,000 shekel or $50,625 is required to help feed 1,000 Holocaust survivors for Chagim.
I can’t fund it all by myself but I can do my best to pitch in. Will start with $500 who else can pitch in to help Holocaust survivors in need?
