The Gateway History Murals at North Broadway were created in 2012 as part of the City of Columbus Bi-Centennial celebration. The murals are painted on the concrete walls of the railroad underpass on East North Broadway near Interstate 71. Ten years later, those concrete walls require significant repair. We need your help!

Created by Gregory Ackers, The Gateway History Murals vibrantly reflect over 200 years of area history! Images include Olentangy Amusement Park, the Clintonville Post Office from 1847, the Moon Brothers, White Castle, and more. Prior to the creation, this underpass was a target for graffiti. Since its creation, the murals attract visitors and provide educational opportunities for area school children!

Approximately 550 square feet of this monumental work of art have been destroyed.  We have raised the funds necessary to do a restoration of the images to the west of the railroad tracks.  We will need to raise more funds to add images to the west of the railroad tracks.   We are continuing this effort to raise those funds and make the Gateway History Murals at North Broadway fully complete.  Help us!!
