The Hope Clinic Sustainability Fund is a direct response to the negative impact on funding that has resulted from the current political climate. Our entire team at Clinica Esperanza / Hope Clinic strive on a daily basis to provide the highest quality of care to all of our patients. We have been true to our mission and have grown and evolved to meet all challenges that would stand in the way of providing health equity to all Rhode Islanders in need. No one should have to decide between feeding their family or heating their home, or being able to afford receive equitable and compassionate care.

Every $1 you give creates $3.70 in free healthcare for uninsured Rhode Islanders. Clínica Esperanza/Hope Clinic (CEHC) provides 100% free, high-quality healthcare to uninsured adults who would otherwise go without care. In 2024, we welcomed more than 1,400 new patients, and in just the first half of 2025, we’ve already enrolled over 1,000 more. The need is growing rapidly, but funding streams are shrinking. Federal cuts to safety-net programs are leaving our most vulnerable neighbors at risk, and without support, many patients will have nowhere else to turn. We are committed to delivering exceptional value with every dollar entrusted to us. Thanks to dedicated supporters like you, CEHC provides over $2,300 in care per patient while spending less than $500 in actual cash costs. This is possible through $6 million in donated medications, thousands of volunteer hours, and a model that stretches every dollar 3.7 times further than traditional care. Our goal is to raise $2.5 million, not just to keep our doors open today, but to build lasting sustainability through the power of our community during these turbulent times. Clinica Esperanza/Hope Clinic's mission is to provide high-quality, linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive healthcare and lifestyle modification education to uninsured residents of Rhode Island. CEHC relies on a robust community of altruistic volunteers who give their time and talent to help care for our patients. We engage neighbors to help neighbors to address inequity in access to healthcare. Our vision is threefold: to reduce health disparities, to engage in healthcare workforce development, and to improve health self-efficacy. We believe that healthcare is a human right.
