SUMMER TIME FOR NEXTUP YOUTH!!!

It's that time of year when our youth are done with school and the summer is here! We are trusting the Lord to create opportunities for our kids to flourish and grow in a safe and fun environment this summer! We are raising these funds as a group in order for 20 of our students to go to Kids Across America (KAA). KAA is a one week Christian sport's camp (www.kaakamps.org) who's aim is to share and equip urban youth for Christ through sports, lots of energy, fun activities and education. With our growing ministry,  we are also hoping to raise extra funds for the summer/fall.

NextUP Youth is a youth ministry at our church, City of Joy Fellowship, in East Saint Louis that is committed to building relationships with youth in the city and helping them learn about God.

I'm in the process of raising funds for the summer. The biggest trust God is that I'm raising funds to take kids to a weeklong summer camp in July called Kids Across America (www.kaakamps.org) which is a Christan sports camp where kids get to have fun and learn about Jesus.

Secondly, I am praying that God will use the summer to draw kids into a real relationship with Jesus. I believe that coming up with ways to keep kids out of the streets and in safe enviroments is crucial to seeing that happen. I am hoping to take our kids to places like Sixflags and Skyzone this summer. Please pray that God will use things like these to point kids to Himself.
