Help Churchville Curve Gold 12U live Their Cooperstown Dream
My name is Coach Chris Ruppert, and I’m proud to lead the Churchville Curve Gold 12U Baseball Team, a team built from the ground up right here in our local community.
Just a few years ago, I was living five minutes from the Churchville Recreation Center, surrounded by great families, great kids, and a great baseball atmosphere. I started coaching in the Churchville Recreation Baseball program and quickly noticed something special, a group of young players who had a real passion to play at the next level.
At the time, Churchville had travel teams for older age groups, but nothing for the younger kids. So, I decided to change that. I teamed up with Jeff Lagnese from Havre de Grace, and together we launched the first-ever Churchville Curve 8U Travel Baseball Team.
We started small, with just a handful of kids aged 5 to 8, and, truth be told, we lost a lot of games that first year . But what we lacked in wins, we made up for in determination. We practiced year-round, 365 days a year, no breaks, no excuses. Over the past five years, a dedicated group of coaches, parents, and players poured their hearts into this program.
What started as one small travel team has now grown into a full organization, featuring teams at 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, and 15U. The Churchville Curve program has earned multiple championships, developed elite-level talent, and created a culture of hard work, community, and pride.
Now, all that dedication has paid off.
We are thrilled to announce that the Churchville Curve Gold 12U team has been invited to play at Cooperstown Dreams Park — June 30 through July 6, 2026.
This is the ultimate dream for every youth baseball player, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete on one of the most legendary fields in the country, where the best young players from across the nation come together.
But as you might know, the trip to Cooperstown is an expensive one. Our players have worked tirelessly to earn this opportunity, and now we’re asking for your help to make it happen.
Whether through sponsorship, donation, or support at one of our fundraisers, your contribution helps make dreams come true for these dedicated young athletes who represent the heart of Churchville.
Together, we’ve built this program for success, from humble beginnings to national competition, and now, we’re ready to take the next big step.
