The Truck is halfway there, your Gifts get it home
UPDATE: Thank you so much for your support; we are excited to be halfway to our goal! Please share with your friends, and help us reach our goal for the much needed truck. The children are so excited about having a ride to doctors, the market, and other necessary places. Such a basic need.
Located in the small town of Pignon, Haiti, is a small residential school for approximately 30 deaf children and youth. The Pignon Christian Center for the Deaf provides education and life skills, as well as a place to call home. These sweet children are not kept by their families due to their disabilities. The school, a 501c3 organization is supported mainly by churches and individuals in the US. Funding is irregular and tends to run out before the end of month.
Vehicles are a luxury that so far, the school has not been able to afford. To compensate, they rent, or sometimes borrow, a pickup truck or motorcycle to go to the market or to take a student or staff member to the hospital for emergency treatment. Recently, a sick child was taken to the emergency room on a borrowed motorcycle. When they came out, the motorcycle had been stolen. Now they owe for a motorcycle they didn’t own. Please participate in this effort to purchase a pickup truck for the school. To help the quiet voices to be heard. The kids will love you!
