About Chief Seattle Club

Chief Seattle Club's mission statement is to provide sacred spaces to nurture, affirm, and renew the spirit of Urban Native People. Founded in 1970, we provide services for homeless/low-income urban Natives in Seattle, Wash. Our day center is open 364 days a year with more than 100 members coming in daily for basic needs such as hot meals, showers and laundry services. We are Natives healing Natives, providing a broad range of coordinated social services, including health care; mental health; housing assistance; domestic violence/sexual assault services; access to other benefits; substance abuse intake and referrals; cultural, art, and spiritual activities. We partner with non-profits, tribes, and government to leverage coordinated on-site services to our members.
