Help Us Move Our Non-Profit Chess Club to a New Home!

The Chess Cardinals, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, needs your help! Since February 2023, we've been offering a welcoming space for chess enthusiasts of all ages at the Chesterfield Mall. However, with the mall's demolition scheduled for August 31st, we need to find a new home for our organization.

The Good News: We Found a New Location!

We're excited to announce that we've secured a new 900 sq ft retail space at the Four Seasons Mall on Olive Rd in Chesterfield! This space offers a fantastic opportunity for us to continue fostering the love of chess in our community.

The Challenge: We Need Your Support to Make It Move-In Ready!

While the rent for the new space is very reasonable, the lease agreement requires us to take over the space "as-is." Our dedicated volunteers have already painted the walls, but the existing carpet needs to be replaced with durable vinyl plank flooring to withstand the high foot traffic during our chess tournaments. This crucial renovation and relocation are estimated to cost $3000.

Our Impact: Tournaments, Education, and More!

Over the past two years, the Chess Cardinals have hosted a staggering 164 chess tournaments, welcoming a total of 455 unique players! Beyond tournaments, we offer free chess lectures and affordable chess workshops, making chess accessible to everyone in our community.
