CHEMOWARRIOR: the eli sidler foundation

Hi Everyone! My name is Maegan Capuano, and I’m an avid distance runner from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over the past decade, I have completed dozens of marathons and ultra-marathons around the country. In June of 2019, I will tackle my biggest athletic challenge to date by running as many miles as I can in 24 hours at the Eagle Up Ultra Marathon in Canton, Ohio.

As I train for months to prepare for this race, I am simultaneously working towards an even more important goal - raising as much money as possible for CHEMOWARRIOR:  the eli sidler foundation. This incredible charity was created in loving memory of Eli Sidler, a very special boy who bravely fought a rare and aggressive bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma before passing away at the young age of 16. I was fortunate to meet Eli during his short time on earth, and while he is no longer with us, he continues to inspire me to live life to the fullest every day.

I am dedicating this race to Eli, and I hope you will consider helping me honor him by donating through this fundraising page to CHEMOWARRIOR:  the eli sidler foundation. The charity is dedicated to increasing awareness and raising money to fund research into the cause and treatment of Ewing’s Sarcoma. The funds raised here will go directly towards improving treatments, long-term survival rates, and the quality of life for those affected by this terrible disease.
