EMERGENCY: Relocating 57 Cats & Their Floating Sanctuary
They have already been abandoned once. We will not let that be their story again.
Tonight, 57 rescued cats are sleeping on our houseboat sanctuary—AQUASITA, home of Homeless Kitty Haven. For many of them, this is the first place they’ve ever truly rested. Some were found behind dumpsters, some inside broken cars, and some were abandoned and never reclaimed.
For over 7 years, we carried this mission ourselves—food, veterinary care, spay & neuter, emergency rescues… quietly and consistently. We didn’t start this as a nonprofit. We didn’t run campaigns. We didn’t ask for help. We just did the work.
Now, the sanctuary itself needs help.
AQUASITA was originally envisioned as a unique dining experience on the water—but it became something far more important: a place where the unwanted could finally feel safe. Where newborns survived. Where the shy found quiet corners. Where healing became possible.
Due to changes in dockage, we must relocate. Because the sanctuary has no engines of its own, this move requires a full marine tow and careful coordination. We have identified a new location—but we need support now to get there safely and secure it.
This houseboat is not luxury.
It is safety, stability, and the only home many of these cats have ever known.
We are raising $15,000 to:
• Safely relocate the sanctuary (professional towing and transport)
• Secure stable dockage at our new location
• Repair and stabilize critical structural areas for a safe move
• Continue food and medical care for 57 rescued cats during this transition
This is not expansion.
This is preservation.
