The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast is Providing Pasadena Front Line Medical Staff Stay at No Cost During the COVID-19 Emergency

We are raising money to provide rooms & recuperation to the front line doctors at local Pasadena hospitals at no charge to them.

The local Hospitals are already treating COVID-19 patients, and they are fervently preparing for thousands of patients over the next several weeks or months from all over the Los Angeles & Pasadena Metro areas.

Many doctors are seriously concerned that they may inadvertently infect their families if they go home.

Frontline medical personnel will be working punishing hours on-end for days at a time.

The Bissell House has quickly organized their property, in cooperation with medical professionals to provide no cost room stays for the front line
medical personnel.



The entire property is being dedicated for six weeks (or more) to safely provide rooms for stay as long as they need while we are in the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.  We are working closely with hospital leadership to uphold safety protocols for the property staff, and especially the medical staff themselves. Specific protocols from the hospital are designed to keep with COVID-19 protections and a restful stay for as long as they need.

The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast is positioned close to Pasadena hospitals and provides a comfortable environment for respite and recuperation.  This also means less time commuting for our critical medical staff.

We are reaching out to you specifically to see if you can contribute towards the room stays for the doctors.  

The Bissell House has a total of seven rooms of which the basic operational cost is $150 each per night.  That is the operational cost to do this for the medical staff, which is far less than the regular room rate.  There is zero profit margin.  Your donations are tax deductible through Charity-On-Top, a Pasadena based nonprofit organization.

Your contribution right now provides a room for a doctor near a major hospital complex, in the comfortable environment of The Bissell House.  Let us help keep our medical staff safe and healthy as well as their families – so the they can focus on what they do best ---keeping us and our families well!


The rundown:

Your donation is tax deductible via Charity-On-Top.   They are providing the (501)c3 administration at no cost.

Bissell House Bed-and-Breakfast  is providing no cost rooms for front line medical staff at no cost.

Medical staff are working with Bissell House B&B to facilitate COVID-19 safety protocols for the physicians and the staff at the Bissell House.

The entire property is dedicated for six weeks to physician stays and that time-frame may be extended based on need.  No other guests.

All contributions go towards the operational costs of room stays and logistics costs. The room rates have been reduced to costs only, and logistics costs have been either donated or are at less than cost.  There is no intent or motivation to profit from this endeavor.
