About CHAMP Assistance Dogs
RAISING & TRAINING SERVICE DOGS TO ASSIST PEOPLE - WITH PHYSICAL and or COGNITIVE DISABILITIES. CHAMP also trains and places facility dogs to work with a professional care-giver. Currently, we have two facility dogs working with a forensic interviewer at the Child Center in Wentzville and two other Courthouse Facility dogs; one at the St. Charles County Courthouse and Mel Carnahan Courthouse. Our assistance dogs are placed free-of-charge. In 2016, we touched the lives of 31,000 children & adults through our therapy dog program. We visit assisted living centers, homeless shelters, hospitals, schools, libraries, Veterans Home, the USO and many other facilities. CHAMP has unique education programs for children and adults. Our education teams offer information on ability awareness
