Empower Young Innovators Through Language & STEAM
Every month, the Center for Future Innovators (CFI Robotics NFP) hosts Dual Language STEAM Night, a free, hands-on event where young learners and their families explore robotics, engineering, and coding while practicing language skills in English and a partner language such as Chinese or Spanish.
We are raising $4,200 to continue offering this program through the rest of the year. Our goal is to fund six additional Dual Language STEAM Night sessions and purchase six new LEGO robotics kits to replace the kits that will no longer be supported by LEGO's discontinued app.
Each event costs approximately $200 to run, including bilingual staff, student materials, and activity setup. Each new robot kit costs $500, and we need six more to ensure every student has access to their own equipment during class.
Thanks to the generous support of John Deere and the Arco Murray Bike Ride for Kids, we have already purchased four upgraded kits. Your support will help us complete the set and keep the program free and accessible to all families.
Dual Language STEAM Night is more than a robotics class. It is a space for young learners to grow in both STEM and language skills while celebrating their cultural identities. Families participate together, helping reinforce vocabulary and encouraging curiosity and creativity.
If we reach our full goal and beyond, we hope to expand the program to include additional languages and offer it more frequently. We want every child, regardless of background or language, to see themselves as builders, thinkers, and innovators.
Your donation, no matter the amount, helps us create inclusive educational spaces where every child can thrive.
Thank you for being part of this mission.
