Want to join me in making a difference? I'm Dr. Michael Thomas, a plant conservationist and I'm raising money to Save the Rwandan Water Lily from Extinction, - any donation will help make an impact. I was part of a team of 3 botanists who rediscovered an extinct species on an expedition in August 2023 in a remote wetland in Rwanda. First collected in 1987, it has been thought for decades to be extinct in the wild. Along with the help of local villagers, we have rediscovered a single population. Now we need your help!

Donations will be used in Rwanda to support monitoring and development of a species recovery plan by a Rwandan graduate student to ensure its survival.
