The regulation and scientific study of companion animal nutrition has been corrupted by industry interests for too long. We’re changing that.

We are the Petfood Consumer Rights Council and our mission is to promote the health and welfare of companion animals by protecting and advancing the rights, knowledge, and other interests of their loving human guardians. We are the first non-profit organization in the United States devoted entirely to this purpose.

Our primary function is to collect tax-deductible donations from individual pet-owners (small dollar donations only, no corporate donations allowed) and then use them to provide grants for important veterinary nutritional science projects that are good for pets (and their owners) but not necessarily good for the pet food industry.

Funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be used to supplement member dues during this, our first year of operations. They will be used to raise awareness about our work and provide grants to member-approved scientific research.
