Panda-Emic to Support Pandemic Relief
We are all stuck in this nightmare that is COVID-19. Will you help me raise money to get us out of it?

I’ve written and illustrated a children’s book called “Panda-Emic” to describe my take on this experience. It details the story of five friends who are forced to stay apart because of the “Panda-Emic,” a pandemic started by the pandas that rocks the animal world. My intent in creating this was to give parents a way to explain what is going on to their young children, to give us all a sense of solidarity and hopefully some inspiration, and of course to kill time while I’m stuck at home.

I'm raising money to benefit Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Inc.’s fund for COVID relief (https://disasterphilanthropy.org/cdp-fund/cdp-covid-19-response-fund/) and any donation will help make an impact. The Center for Disaster Philanthropy supports other worthy non-profits that help healthcare workers and the especially vulnerable population, such as Americares, CARE, and Feeding America. If you make a donation to The Center, I’ll send you a copy of my book, “Panda-Emic” for you and your family to enjoy.

Crappy Corona Craftbox
Sharing Crafts … not Corona!

Crappy Corona Crafts has been happily crafting our way through our new stay-at-home lives. A few weeks ago my 16 year old niece, Abigail Winner, came to me with an idea to help raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts. Until now, we've been crafting to fight boredom. Now, we're going to craft with you to fight the disease. Let's make a difference together, so we can all be together once again!

Here's how it works:
When you donate $20 or more, you will receive a custom Crappy Corona Craft-Box! The box will include all materials required and easy-to-follow instructions to do three kid-friendly crafts at home. Check out our Instagram page to see all the crafts we've done over the last 45+ days!

Note: If you want to donate, but don't want a craft-box, just let us know in the comments section when you donate.

Safe Delivery Included!
We have hand-crafted a retractable 15ft delivery wand, which Abigail will use to personally delivery your craft-box to your door, in the safest way possible. ;)

Fine Print:
- 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy's CDP COVID-19 Response Fund, which supports containment, response and recovery activities for those most affected and for the responders.
- If you love crafting and live outside the Chicago north shore area, we kindly ask that you cover shipping costs. (Please include your name and email address in comments of donation so that we can reach out to get your home address)
- All deliveries will be made between May 17th - May 31st.

Covid 19 relief scruff
Please join us in putting down the razors throughout the period of social distancing in the US, and help out during the ongoing Coronavirus / Covid-19 crisis. We're pledging to keep using our patchy facial hair and mustaches to raise awareness and evoke conversation about how we can all help by adhering to the call for social distancing, and by giving what we can to funds like the Center for Disease Philanthropy who are helping those in need. From the families of health workers to the rising demand for medical supplies, there is an overwhelming need for the community to rise up and help where we can.

We started this cause with the goal of raising $2,300 for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy- enough to support a patient in the ICU for 24 hours- but thanks to our awesome friends and family, we blew past that goal on our first night. We've now expanded the goal to $10,000 and open this movement to anyone else who would like to try to make a difference in these uncertain times.

Cycle in shelter to raise money for COVID relief!
Join me in challenging COVID-19! Sheltered in? Riding the trainer to no end? Why not make it worth something.

On April 18th, we’ll host a pledge ride where every virtual mile you cycle means real dollars for COVID-19 relief! All proceeds will be directed through a GoFundMe to be allocated to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy .

Here’s how you help:

* Join the Strava group- Cycle in Shelter Challenge . This is our best way of tracking miles.

* Get pledges! Ask your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors to support your ride. They can pledge per a mile or just for the ride. Anything helps.

* Share this Challenge with your network or friends!

* On April 18th, ride your bike! While we can’t responsibly ask you to ride outside, we do encourage you to ride your trainer, rollers or however you do it. Record your ride on your favorite platform- Zwift, Trainer Road, or even on your Garmin with wheel and cadence sensor and upload your ride to Strava. Check your results against everyone else.

* Collect your pledges and deposit to the GoFundMe, be sure to include your address so we can send you a thank you.

Peter/Tyler Dance Battle against COVID-19
I heard Tyler’s call out. Only one way to settle this. Dance Battle style... my goal is to raise $10,000 for the CDP COVID-19 Response Fund. This is a fund created by Center for Disaster Philanthropy. As soon as the goal is reached, assuming Tyler accepts, we will do an instagram live dance off and have some fun!

The CDP COVID-19 Response Fund will focus on supporting nonprofit organizations working directly to respond to the pandemic among the most vulnerable populations in order to help build their capacity for response. These will include social service organizations focused on supporting hourly wage earners, workers in the gig economy, immigrant/New American populations, older adults, people with disabilities and other communities vulnerable to the physical health, mental health and economic impacts of the pandemic.

Coronavirus 40 and 40
Hello and thanks for coming to our page! We are nine friends who've bonded over the Marco Polo app and Zoom happy hours during this quarantine. This past weekend we challenged the group to collectively run 40 miles and collectively drink 40 beers. Believe it or not, this Saturday, 4/18/20, we will collectively run 40 miles (independent of one another) and then collectively drink 40 beers during a Zoom Happy Hour. What once started as a fun challenge among friends has now become a way to give back during this Coronavirus Pandemic. We will be following all social distancing rules during this event.

Each one of us will be pledging $1.00 for each mile ran and $1.00 for each beer drank. Theoretically, this should be $80.00 per person and $720.00 total raised for the CDP COVID-19 Response Fund which supports preparedness, containment, response and recovery activities for those most affected and for the responders.

With YOUR support I'm sure we could run more miles and, definitely, drink more beers to increase donations!

This is where we need YOUR help!!

We are asking you to make the same pledge or donate whatever you feel comfortable. We also ask that you join the cause and see how many miles you can run and/or have a couple beers too! If you do join the run and/or drinks then please send in a video or selfie of you supporting the cause. We hope to make a tribute video at the end and would like to feature all supporters!

If you run outside, please follow the social distancing rules as suggested by the CDC. Leilah's Run for COVID Relief
Since I have no medical training, I thought this could be a "use what you have" situation to still help out humanity at a time when we need it most! Where I lack in stethoscopes and needles, I compensate in the ability to suffer through endless miles on my feet. So, that's what I'll do. I will be running 100 miles for the first time in my running career, starting on April 18th. The route will be on trail, through mountains, and largely alone. No aid stations, no friendly volunteers, no wonderfully-arranged snacks on tables. I will run the Arizona Trail from Oracle to Superior, a route that will at least provide me the Gila River for water. The charity I've chosen to raise money for is the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Inc., who is supporting a number of entities aimed at providing medical supplies, food, and local community support. Every donation will go directly to the CDP through GoFundMe as a medium. I know many are in tough times of their own and may not be able to donate any large sums, but truly every penny makes an impact. I will be providing live updates on my run from my website and through social media so feel free to tune in and watch the suffer ensue!

Who am I and What is this About
There are celebrities like my heroes JJ Watt and Chris Paul who are doing a lot for this issue, I am about to talk about. But I am an ordinary person. Also, this is not about me or who I am.

This is about the city of Houston and its ordinary people that has been brought to its knees by a mass of water occasioned by a force named Harvey. The only thing that needs to be known about me is that I am high schooler and a son of this great city of Houston who wants to help his community in any which way shape or form.

The Impact of the Disaster
Harvey has robbed honest Houstonians of not just their homes and their property, but their livelihood and the meanings, and some tragic cases, their lives. Harvey is going to drench almost 6 million people, and cost an estimated 108 billion dollars. Needless to say, donations are needed to help the affected people get back on their feet.

What we can do?
Like you, when ordinary people are harmed by a force that is out of his or her control, it makes my heart bleed. We must help our Texan brothers and sisters in their time of need.

Who gets the Donation?
So, I am starting this campaign to bring your dollar directly to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy , a GoFundMe-certified charity. Your donations are tax-deductible (and GoFundMe INSTANTLY directly issues you a tax receipt).
