About Cedar Lake Historical Association, Inc.
The Cedar Lake Historical Association (CLHA) presents the relevance of Cedar Lake history at The Museum at Lassen’s Resort - where the 1920s Come Alive on the Lake. The museum is housed in Lassen's Resort hotel, a property on the state and national historic registry. Additional experiences include the Dewey Line, which offers resort history cruises on magnificent Cedar Lake, and culinary anthropology programs where history comes to life on the dinner table. Situated in Northwest Indiana, about 35 miles south of Chicago, the museum is the only cultural institution in the Town of Cedar Lake. Exhibit displays highlight The Story of Cedar Lake, from the glacial formation of the 800-acre namesake lake to Potawatomi history to the community's resort-era heyday (1880-1930).
