Cause for Canines

My name is Miss Delilah and if you are reading this you know someone who knows someone who knows my foster mom or dad, you know someone involved in the rescue who is in the midst of saving me ... or I was simply lucky for you to come across this page because it has circulated the web. From what I overheard the vet tell my foster mom and dad, I am an approximate 6 month old shepherd mix who indeed is "broken". I guess my way of walking and running seemed funny to my foster mom... she just kept saying "Poor baby. Just come rest. We will see the doctor soon" I don't like resting. I love playing with my brothers and it isn't until I slow down that I whimper and cry out in pain. Mom says my elbow is swollen and my paw is smaller than the others. Today after dad took me to a big fancy building with really nice people inside I overheard the man who pulled on my leg before giving me pats and treats telling my foster dad that it was best they amputate. I'm not sure I know what that means. But everyone sighs and makes a sad face when they hear about it. I just want to have a furever family who loves me like my foster family. But in order to find them I must first become a "tripod"... that I think has something to do with that amputation thing. My surgery will be nearly $4000 and they say because Cause for Canines has saved many pups like me in the recent months that there are no funds for my surgery. And I must wait until more are raised. Thats where you come in. I will be accepting visits and play dates... whatever it takes for a dollar or 2.  As for the organization saving me...   Cause for Canines: Cause for Canines is a volunteer based all-breed dog rescue founded in Central Ohio. They are committed to the rescue of homeless dogs, dogs given up by their owners due to difficult circumstances or those in danger of abuse or neglect, and dogs in shelters that are at risk of euthanasia. Their mission is to find safe, loving, committed and permanent homes for the dogs we take into rescue. All of our dogs are placed in home based foster care and receive any necessary medical care and treatments necessary for adoption.
