Our goal, as a nonprofit organization, is to save cats and kittens from euthanasia, displacement, illnesses in the cat community, and certain death by providing vaccines, shelter, and veterinarian services. Cat Tails Inc is able to achieve these services because of generous donors, such as you! We love our state-of-the-art foster volunteers who diligently care for our rescues until they are ready for their new homes.
We recently received a kitten named Raphael that was unfortunately diagnosed with PanLeukemia. This is a very deadly and fast acting disease for anyone who is not familiar. We did our best to save Raphael by taking him to the emergency vet. He was treated in quarantine for about 2-3 days, but sadly, on February 18th, around 7am, the call had to be made, and our sweet baby boy crossed the rainbow bridge.
PanLeukemia is extremely difficult to treat, and survival rates are often very low. The vets and I truly hoped that Raphael would pull through, as we thought we caught it early enough, and he was showing steady improvements. Although he was a fighter, he took a sharp turn overnight and went downhill very fast. As upsetting as it was, we did not want to continue to let him suffer. We do our best to save all cat lives, but it can be very difficult, especially given that we are a nonprofit organization. We rely on the generosity of others. Money was withdrawn from our personal accounts (NOT ASSOCIATED WITH CAT TAILS INC.), hoping Raphael would improve. His treatment cost thousands of dollars, and we need your help!
Due to Raphael's treatment, Cat Tails Inc. suffered a good bit of financial loss. In order to continue helping other kitties, we graciously ask that you consider donating towards our cause. This donation will specifically help cover the costs of Raphael's treatment, which in turn, allows us to continue treating other kitties and provide them care and shelter.
We really appreciate anything that comes through, and know that Raphael does as well. Thank you for considering us!
