Carpenter Square Theatre Cast of Thousands
Carpenter Square Theatre has moved 6 times since we started in 1984 in a warehouse near downtown Oklahoma City. We're now in the final phase of renovating a 75-year old, 12,000 sf warehouse just a few blocks from our original location.
The challenges we've faced in the three years of this project include the total loss of all of our props, costumes & furnishings in a warehouse fire, COVID-19, and the supply chain problems and materials cost increases that are rampant. We've been fortunate to receive several large grants from Inasmuch Foundation, the Kirkpatrick Family Fund, Allied Arts, Arts Council Oklahoma, and the Arts Council of Oklahoma City. We've already spent twice what we originally budgeted, and we're so close to being done. But we have so much more to do.
We have an immediate need of $100,000 to finish the job. We've already delayed several times the start of our Season 38. With this campaign, we hope to be able to open later this spring.
