Carolina Women's Select Ice Hockey Club Inc.

We're raising money for the Carolina Lady Hurricanes trip to the 2019 USA Hockey National Tournament! This year, the tournament will be held in Anaheim, CA on April 4-7. Any donation will help to make a huge impact in our athletes' lives.

The Carolina Lady Hurricanes are a women's ice hockey team, competing in USA Hockey's B division. Our ladies travel across the country throughout the season and while at home, they are very involved within their hockey community. Many of our players volunteer their time to assist with various youth girls hockey teams. Our players are fantastic role models and show the community that women's hockey is highly successful.

The next stop on the Canes' schedule is the 2019 USA Hockey National Tournament where they will be proudly representing the Southeastern District. Due to the heavy travel throughout our season, it can get very expensive for our athletes. This GoFundMe is aimed to help offset some of these costs associated with our ladies following their passion and participating in the sport they love. Raising this money will help to ensure all of our eligible athletes will be able to travel to California, giving us the best chance to win the National title!

Last season we finished as third in the Nation, earning the bronze medal. This season, we're coming back stronger than ever with hopes to take home the gold.

The Carolina Lady Hurricanes have once again qualified for the USA Hockey National Championships! This year, the tournament is in Bedford, MA. We look forward to the competition, and hope that our team's growth and experiences this year will make us strong contenders.

The Lady Canes have experienced a lot of transition this season. First, the team established an affiliation with the Raleigh Youth Hockey Association (RYHA) and adopted our new team name (we were formerly the Carolina Aces). Our transition to becoming the Carolina Lady Hurricanes has been positive in many ways, and we are very happy to be affiliated with RYHA!

In addition to the new affiliation and team name, we also welcomed players from the Rochester Edge organization to our Carolina Lady Canes family! The Edge players bring a lot of skill, passion, and camaraderie to our team.

The team has traveled far and wide again this season (including trips to Liberty University, D.C. Cleveland, and Buffalo). And, given that our team is spread throughout the country, players have incurred many travel costs. Therefore, we open this GoFundMe campaign with the hope that we can offset some of our travel costs for Nationals. We appreciate the ongoing support of our friends, family, and fans, and greatly appreciate any contribution that you can make!
