Give a hand to Tian Tian Yang
Tien Tien Yang is 32 years old, from Dongying District, Dongying City, Shandong, China. She is a smart and wonderful soul and a graduate of Iowa State University. Sadly, in July 2021, Tien Tien was found unconscious at home by a roommate. Following an emergency department visit, she was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma and underwent emergency surgery. After five total open skull surgeries, Tien Tien’s own skull was so severely damaged by deoxygenation, she then required a 3D printed replacement. As result, Tien Tien became paraplegic and lost a significant portion of her memory. Her parents have since flown in from Shandong to oversee her care. Through arduous physical rehabilitation, Tien Tien has somewhat regained the ability to walk, and can minimally express herself verbally. Tien Tien, understandably, still cannot work, and she has only emergency Medi-Cal for insurance. Her landlord is looking to sell, and Tien Tien has been asked to move shortly.
Tien Tien is scheduled to undergo 42 days of radiochemotherapy, which is well known to be exceptionally taxing on the body. Her immune system will be critically compromised, and she will have to live in reverse isolation. Tien Tien and her parents are seeking comfortable and safe accommodations near Keck Hospital in downtown LA so she can focus on her treatment while they focus on providing her care. At present, they can afford only about $1,000/month of their living expenses, which has made their search for a suitable living arrangement impossible. It is estimated that Tien Tien’s treatment and recovery will conclude in about a year’s time, and so she and her parents have no choice but to turn to crowdfunding to support their needs in the meantime.

Care Mission USA is a non-profit organization serving the needs of the low-income, homeless and the sick in the heart of Los Angeles, California. In addition, Care Mission provides support to first responders, front-line healthcare workers, teachers and students in Los Angeles and abroad. Care Mission seeks to positively impact the lives of people through weekly hot meal programs, PPE medical equipment deliveries, face mask deliveries, "Love" Backpack deliveries, "Love" Blanket deliveries, International aid programs and by providing local community service and volunteering opportunities.
Front-line workers risk their lives to keep all of us and our loved ones (children, grandchildren, parents and grandparents) safe and healthy. Recognizing this, Care Mission provides them with the critical safety equipment they need to continue doing their jobs. Additionally, the low-income and homeless communities face numerous challenges that are exacerbated by the pandemic.
