Freet Family: Uganda Mission Trip
The Freet Family is joining the non-profit Care Corps Intl. on a Mission Trip to Gulu, Uganda this November.
This is the first overseas mission trip that Tim & Liz will be taking their boys, Easton, 14, & Parker, 11, to aid and bless third world children in need.
We would be so honored to accept your daily thoughts & prayers while we are in Uganda with 300+ children and caregivers in need. Our intention is to bring them unconditional love, encouragement, healing, care and a safe place to share their feelings.
We hope to raise a portion of our travel costs to Gulu, Uganda, which we estimate to be $10,000 ($2500 per person.)
If you would like to partner with us in this outreach, your donation will be 100% tax deductible through Care Corps Intl. You may donate to the attached link with paypal/visa/mc. Please be sure to include an email or physical address to receive your 2018 501(c)3 tax donation receipt.
We are looking forward to our time in Uganda and our hope is that we will be a blessing and encouragement to the families and children we meet and care for.
CARE “to be concerned about, to look after, provide for, to have love for another”
CORPS “a body of persons under common direction, an organized subdivision"
'Care Corps International is a crisis-care education & resource organization for care-givers in places of crisis, war, & disaster. We come alongside people of all backgrounds who have experienced trauma and crisis. We provide training for churches, relief-agencies, teachers, community workers, physicians, and the national church leadership. We recruit, train, & lead teams of volunteers to provide two crisis-care education programs: Care Training Seminars for new and experienced care-givers and Children Trauma Care Programs.'
'The need for trauma care training in our world is overwhelming. Around the globe millions of people are suffering. Wherever there is disease, war, natural disaster, and violence at home or in the community, children and adults are victims of trauma. There is great need for God-centered care-giving to respond to their psychological pain and spiritual needs helping them begin to put their lives together after surviving the devastation of these kinds of life changing trauma.'
