The cost to send a child and their family to camp is $1,800. The CWRV Driver Challenge goal is to raise enough money to send 3 children to camp next year. These are 3 children who might not be going if not for your generous donation. The CWRV Driver challenge goal is $5,400

Hello All!

It’s Karen and Wade from KOA Care Camps!

You may remember us from earlier this year when we stopped by CWRV Transport Corporate offices with professional race car driver and Care Camp sponsor, Steve Arpin.

We at Care Camps have enjoyed working with CWRV Transport since spring of 2017 and look forward to continuing our joint efforts to make a difference in these brave kids’ lives for many more years to come. And with that in mind we have a challenge for you.  

We challenge each of you to participate in our “CWRV Transport - Independent Driver Challenge” and help us reach our $5000 donation goal by the end of the day on Giving Tuesday (November 27th).  This is a “Driver only” challenge. CWRV drivers may also invite family members and friends to participate. CWRV drivers reside in 49 states of this great country, which is perfect because there are KOA Care Camps all over the country as well and may be close to where you live!

Your support is key in getting these brave kids and their families to a place where they can all heal together.

Would you consider donating $10 to help us achieve this goal? 

$10 may not seem like a lot but for Tamra Baker, mother of a Care Camps Camper whose son attended Camp Hobe this summer it meant the world. Camp Hobe is just one of the many oncology camps that benefits from your donations and this family is just one of the many families that are healing because you all care. You make the difference.

Tamra wanted to share her story of healing with you all so you can see just how impactful you all are. “My son had a huge smile on his face and was genuinely having a good time. I listened to him and my daughter talk the entire drive home about their week and experiences at camp. To say that week was life changing for both of them, especially my son would be an understatement. There seemed to have been a true healing in his demeanor and attitude. I am not exaggerating when I say Camp Hobe has been life changing for our family. My children look forward to returning, and I hope they can continue to go for years to come as they continue to heal and work through their injured emotions”.

Your $10 will go towards the $1800 it costs for a child with cancer to attend a medically supervised oncology camp for one week.
