Carbon Hill Women’s Club

The Blue Gym located in Carbon Hill, Alabama has seen better days. However, the gym is still used for rentals (haunted house, wrestling matches, birthday parties, etc.) and sometimes still used for sports practices. The gym is in extreme need of repair of heating and cooling systems, plumbing, and many areas are not clean enough to utilize. The city has agreed to allow the Carbon Hill Women's Club to oversee the property and renovations. The heating and cooling repairs will cost at least $8,000 and there is one working toilet at this time. There are many projects and the club is currently seeking bids for the project. We are pursuing grants to help fund this project and save the city's largest facility. There is time to save the Blue Gym, but we will need the help of the citizens of Carbon Hill. We are seeking financial support from the community to help save the Blue Gym and make it a clean and suitable facility for all types of events.
