Unfortunately on the 14th of august 2024 i lost my nan due to cancer and at the same time my aunt was fighting cancer as well, my nan was always a loving and caring person and she always wanted to make a difference, i think if she was still here fighting she would have done anything to beat it! So i will be walking 5k everyday for 2 months to raise awareness for this life taking disease. So do you want to join me in making a difference? In March 2025 we devastatingly lost our dad, and grandfather to oesophageal cancer. In his final days he showed so much courage and fight, but unfortunately it took him quickly, and way too soon.

Our dad/grandfather touched the hearts of so many people, which is shown by the many messages of love and admiration for him plastered all over our phones.

As we know dad would have wanted, we aim to celebrate his life by raising money in his name to help and support other families like ours. We will continue to display his courage and bravery in everything we do.

Which is why on the 30th August 2025 myself and my eldest daughter Carys have decided to do a sponsored skydive to honour the life of Phillip Frederick Poole.

On the 31st of December 2024, it marked 10 years since my dad, Robert Dando, passed away, and in his memory, I’m taking on a challenge that’s both thrilling and deeply emotional. I’ll be jumping out of an aeroplane to raise funds for Cancer Research Wales, an organisation that’s doing incredible work in the fight against cancer. This leap is a personal tribute to my dad, who fought so bravely, and to everyone whose lives have been affected by this devastating disease. I know it’s going to be an emotional experience, but I also know that my dad will be with me in spirit, feeling proud of what I’m doing to make a difference. Your support will mean the world to me and will help fund vital research that could save countless lives. Thank you for being part of this journey. Any donation will help this wonderful charity. Hi my name is Jade Timberlake! For my sister’s 21st birthday I’ll be joining her to raise money for a charity close to my heart! I’ve chosen cancer research as a few members of my family have suffered from cancer and I’d really like the opportunity to give back and help more people, any donations would be very much appreciated!

Cancer Research Wales is the only charity wholly dedicated to funding cancer research in Wales, for Wales.

Our work has never been more important. By 2030, it’s estimated that 230,000 people across Wales will have cancer.

One in two of us will get cancer, which means we will all be affected by cancer in one way or another. To tackle this, our research is happening all over Wales, in our communities, our hospitals, our GP surgeries. It’s making Wales a healthier, and better place to live.

Every year, Menter a Busnes chooses a charity to support over the coming 12 months. This year, the staff chose Cancer Research Wales as our charity to support during the year.

We will be fundraising during 2023-24, to raise money for these very worthwhile causes.

In February 2022 we devastatingly lost our wonderful Mum to cancer. We would love the opportunity to give back to the amazing staff and volunteers who cared for both Mum and our family during her final week.

Our Mum touched the hearts of so many people, lighting up every room she entered. As we know Mum would have wanted, we aim to celebrate her life by raising money in her name to help and support other families like ours. We will continue to display her courage and bravery in everything we do.
