Mission: Our mission is to inspire empathy and support for cancer patients through mentorship and artistic philanthropic opportunities.

Cancer Called was founded by Tamara Bara, a two-time cancer survivor now bravely facing stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Through her journey, she learned that healing isn’t only medical. It’s about hope, connection, and compassion.
That’s why Cancer Called brings comfort to survivors and communities through handmade gifts of resilience, art therapy, and mentorship. From youth in group homes to seniors in living communities, and even women in Africa earning fair wages, every program is rooted in healing, purpose, and love.
With your support, we’re raising $5,000 to keep these programs alive and growing. Your gift will helps us provide:
- Beading sessions for youth working through trauma
- Crochet and art workshops to combat loneliness among seniors
- Handmade cloths and beads for survivors worldwide
- Fair wages for women creating gifts of hope in Africa
