Save the Sabine Pass Lighthouse
The Sabine Pass Lighthouse was built in 1856 to aid mariners traveling to and from Southeast Texas and has been abandoned since 1952. This historic structure is the only remaining historic lighthouse in Southwest Louisiana and has stood through many hurricanes and a civil war battle, however time and the harsh marine environment has taken a heavy toll. $2.25 million is needed to stabilize and restore the tower, however the first phase of stabilization is estimated at 500K. Please help the Cameron Preservation Alliance save this unique structure on the Creole Nature Trail for tourists and future generations.
