Calvary Baptist Church

A few years ago one of my best friends heard my heart on helping the church rediscover the Great Commandment. She then challenged me to write a book based on those ideas. Not one to back down from a challenge, I left my job and dedicated my life to living out the Great Commandment in my neighborhood, building a community of Front Yard Missionaries who would do the same and ultimately to writing the book Front Yard Mission. I incorporated my friend and gifted writer Steve Lutz to co-author the book with me.

Here is the gist of the book: the world needs good neighbors. We can't all change the world, but we can start with the world right outside our front door. Jesus took 613 Old Testament laws and boiled them down to just two - Love God and Love Neighbor. Simple right? The truth is, the church has not always done a stellar job of living this out. Not because Christ followers are not well intended but because they just aren’t sure how. Because before we have a way, we need to see a way. We wrote Front Yard Mission to help the church see a way to live out the Great Commandment.

This is where you come in. We need your help. Since we are a grassroots movement, our desire is to crowd source the finances to publish the book. We truly believe this is the best route to go for our future.

We're looking to make Front Yard Mission more accessible to more people. The book itself has been written, but the cost for the layout, design, and actual printing of the books is where we need a big lift. We're looking for financial support (in addition to ALL the prayerful support) to bring this book to life. Because FYM is still awaiting the finalization of our 501c3 tax status, my home church, Calvary, has graciously agreed to process the donations received through this campaign and have committed to put every penny towards our current need of producing and printing the book.
