The mission of the California Science and Engineering Fair Foundation is to promote scientific and engineering literacy and curiosity, encourage scientific and engineering accomplishment, and generate an appreciation for the processes by which scientists and engineers push back the frontiers of the unknown. The Foundation accomplishes this first by planning, funding, operating, and promoting the California Science and Engineering Fair, an annual event in which the best science and engineering students in grades 6-12 throughout the entire State of California are brought together to be recognized and honored, and to form communities with each other....
