Coffee Friday's LA Fire Support Fund
Hello! We're a social group known as Coffee Friday, with our whole goal being to get people to meet each other and make friends at coffee shops on Fridays. We started as a club at UCI, and more recently we have been working with coffee shops around Orange County, in hopes of meeting more people and growing Coffee Friday. We have obviously witnessed the devastation these recent fires have caused in the LA area, and we wanted to use our platform in whatever way we could to help anyone we can.

We are Sunrise Amherst (Massachusetts) from the Sunrise Movement. In support of the L.A. Emergency Relief Foundation, we want to raise as much money as possible to ease the harm these extreme fires have caused to the people of California.

We also want to raise awareness in the Pioneer Valley of the effects of global warming and drying environments. Wildfires are becoming more extreme and frequent because of poor environmental management, funding, and biased legislation. To fight against the agendas of the leaders and to aid those who can't afford for their homes to constantly be in danger, please donate!

Hello, my name is Mia and I'm 11 years old. I am trying to raise money for the Los Angeles fires. I was born in Pasadena, and lived there until I was four and my old friends still live there.

L.A has been suffering from severe wildfires, and many people have lost their homes; some have lost everything. I am looking for sponsors for my 5k run in March. 100% of what I raise will go to the California Community Foundation.

This foundation supports families who have lost their homes by addressing longterm recovery needs like temporary housing, rebuilding homes, mental health, and medical care.

At LiS™: Latinos in Sports, we’ve been deeply moved by the devastating impact of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. These tragic events have affected countless lives, and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.

While we were initially planning to host our next major event in February in partnership with the PGA TOUR’s Genesis Invitational, we’ve made the decision to reschedule for March to focus on this important cause. 33-Mile Walk for LA Wildfire Relief :

Hi everyone! We are a group of St. Margarets high school students from San Juan Capistrano. On Sunday, March 9, 2025, we are challenging ourselves to walk 33 miles from San Clemente Pier to Huntington Pier to raise funds for California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund.

Why We’re Walking:

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated communities, destroying homes, displacing families, and leaving lasting environmental damage. Though we aren’t directly affected, we recognize the immense hardships faced by those who are, and we want to do our part to help. We have no personal connection to the victims, but we believe in standing together during times of crisis.

How the Funds Will Be Spent

Every dollar we raise goes directly to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund (EIN: 953510055), which:

Provides emergency shelter, food, and supplies to wildfire victims

Assists in long-term recovery efforts, including rebuilding homes

Supports firefighters and first responders who risk their lives protecting communities

Helps with environmental restoration in fire-ravaged areas

Our Goal – $3,300 ($100 Per Mile!)

We’re aiming to raise $3,300 – symbolizing $100 for every mile we walk.
