Burke Rescue Squadron, Inc.

Want to join us in making a difference? The Burke County Rescue Squad are the primary providers of search and rescue and swiftwater rescue in Burke County, NC. We also provide heavy vehicle rescue, high angle rescue, and a wide range of rescue specialties and emergency medical services to our citizens, visitors, and the State of North Carolina.


Our non-profit organization is 100% volunteer and all of the services we provide are free.


We are currently fundraising to purchase a lightweight, break apart titanium Stokes Basket, lightweight wheel system and leveling titanium carry handles. This makes patient access and transportation much safer with less strain on our rescuers.
