Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Brooklyn Kindergarten Society (Bks), and any donation will help make an impact. My goal this year is to raise $3500. This amount will support violin enrichment programs for 2 months, support 5 assistant teachers to become certified, and support 4 tennis sessions for students. Your donations will be hard at work. Thank you in advance for your fantastic support! It means so much to me, especially to each student and staff it will benefit.

More information about Brooklyn Kindergarten Society (Bks): For more than 130 years, Brooklyn Kindergarten Society has worked to ensure children from low-income families receive quality education in a nurturing environment that cultivates the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Our early childhood learning centers are located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and Brownsville public housing, and serve nearly 400 children and their families. BKS children receive full-day educational classes with evidence-based, age-appropriate curricula and enrichment programs. BKS strives to stop the cycle of poverty where it does the most damage—in early childhood. Although two of every three children who enter BKS test “at-risk” for developmental delays, 90% complete BKS on par with or better than their peers across socio-economic groups!

(Fun fact… this is my daughter who attended BKS from 2-4yrs old. She was actually creating an ant with recycle materials on a virtual class during the Covid school closure, while at BKS)

My dearest friends and family,

 

Next Sunday (November 7th!) I'll be running New York (literally:-)) to raise money to benefit Brooklyn Kindergarten Society (BKS), a non-profit that provides high quality preschool for children in Central Brooklyn. As you all know, NYC Marathon Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year and being able to enjoy it for a good cause has always been an incredible experience. I've been a runner in this city for 25 years (yes, 25 lol) and the magic of the NYC marathon never gets old.

 

Once again in addition to your virtual and in-person cheers, I am asking that you make a donation to BKS. I joined the BKS board last fall and have been able to really see up close the excellent work that the organization does for families across Central Brooklyn. We're led by an INCREDIBLE Executive Director Melisha Jackman, who's really taking the organization to new heights for our children and families. Couldn't be prouder - thank you Mel!

The goal of $1500, will help provide violin classes for 1 month at one of the 7 BKS centers. This cause is a personal one for me. My daughter Brooklyn, attended one of the BKS centers for 3 years. She thrived phenomenally due to the amazing teachers, support staff, administration, and directors. I am committed and indebted to this organization- which is why I am a BKS Board Member. All children deserve a great education. BKS provides our children the opportunity to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
