1000 Miles And Running
When Covid-19 started to take the country by storm and many runners were saddened by the news of their Spring Races being canceled Issa Run Crew (IRC) along with the global run community took the stance that the races might be canceled, but running is not! So we have been running as much, and as safely as we possibly can. But now, we’ve decided to make our miles matter.So here's the deal. From 5.3.20 - 5.10.20 IRC and some of our friends are pledging to cumulatively run 1000 safe and solo miles to help raise money for Broad Street Ministry and their efforts to continue providing meals for the less fortunate during these trying times. We will keep everyone updated on our progress via Instagram (@IssaRunCrew). 1000 miles is a pretty hefty goal, but with determined hearts (and legs) it’s one we think we'll be able to achieve!
A little more information about Broad Street Ministry (Bsm): They transform our city, our institutions, and ourselves when we embrace the individual needs of our most vulnerable sisters & brothers. Every person will be seen, recognized and restored. We will all be well fed in every aspect of life, and we will be made whole – even for just a few pure and powerful moments. The simplest acts of kindness can soothe the afflicted and transform the fortunate.
