I'd love your support to help make Molly's Miles Matter for the 2020 Boston Marathon!

Most of you know that it's been a personal goal of mine to run the Boston Marathon. This year I was lucky enough to receive an official bib from the John Hancock invitational program.

For the 2020 Boston Marathon, I will be fundraising for a cause that I have first hand seen create incredible impact, Breakthrough Ministries.

Breakthrough is a non-profit organization located in Chicago that partners with those affected by poverty to build connections, develop skills and open doors of opportunity. With a hyper-local, 40-block focus on Chicago’s West Side, Breakthrough provides outreach services focused on a profoundly simple formula: people first.

Over the past few years, I had the opportunity to volunteer, share meals, and get to know the men and women at the Breakthrough shelters. I met extremely positive individuals that were previously in unimaginable situations, actively rebuilding their lives with the support of the Breakthrough community and staff.

The 2018 Breakthrough Running Club is off to a great start but we need your help providing these incredible kids with good running shoes!

On Monday, October 1st, we are taking these amazing student runners to Fleet Feet Sports Chicago for a private professional shoe fitting party where each kid will get fitted for the biomechanically correct shoes for them and their future running endeavors! 

We need your help though, we need to raise $1,500 in just 5 days to provide the 15-20 BT Runners with their new running shoes on Tuesday.  

Would you be willing to join us and make a donation?  Anna (my bride) and I are in for the first $100....let's go!

P.S.  Running club, which meets every weekend in the fall as these kids train for some fall races, is just one of the many sports ministries Breakthrough puts on to build connections, develop skills and open doors of opportunity for the families and children in Chicago's East Garfield Park.

The 2017 Breakthrough Running Club is off to a great start but we need your help providing these incredible kids with good running shoes!

After hitting their 5-mile benchmark a couple weeks ago the Breakthrough Runners each got their club t-shirt and now they are approaching the next benchmark in their training....10 miles!!

On Tuesday, October 2nd, we are taking all the kids who have hit their 10-mile benchmark to Fleet Feet Sports Chicago for a private professional shoe fitting party where each kid will get fitted for the biomechanically correct shoes for them and their future running endeavors! 

We need your help though, we need to raise 3,500 in just 4 days to provide the 25-35 BT Runners who will the 10-mile benchmark with their new running shoes on Tuesday.

Cecil Smart is the amazing man of God who leads these sports ministries for Breakthrough.  From facilitating basketball leagues of hundreds of kids and hundreds of volunteers to personally picking up and dropping off kids in "the bus" for Running Club practice every Saturday - the man does it all!  So if you want to get involved beyond just donating to these running shoes go HERE or shoot him an email.
