I was injured with my fiancé in an auto accident on my birthday 2011. We were in stopped traffic on the highway in Michigan when a semi plowed into the back of our car driving us into the semi in front of us. I spent a couple of months in a coma and about a year and a half in rehab facilities. Now, I'm living in my own home.
I'm looking to pay it forward and help others in my situation. I am releasing a track called "The Recovery Song" that describes my recovery. All funds donated will go to benefit the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, an organization that was and continues to be instrumental in my recovery.
I composed the song very early in my recovery. It took me a couple of years to have the track recorded. In 2016/2017, it was recorded at Big Sky Recording Ann Arbor where I recorded my 2008 self titled jazz debut. The track features musicians:
