Lending a hand
My name is Ava Koslowsky and I have always loved helping kids. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I decided to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County and tutor K-1 students. Many of these kids are less fortunate. The Boys and Girls Club is a free program that includes food, cooking classes, arts and crafts, sports, and education. I am hoping to raise money to help these kids achieve their dreams. The money will be used for everything from books and school supplies to field trips that give many of these kids a chance to explore areas outside of New Jersey.
The Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County is based in Jersey City, NJ. This Club is special to me because my dad played basketball here over 25 years ago and developed some special friendships. He has often told me how impactful this experience was on his life. I was inspired to make my own impact.
I would be very grateful for your help in continuing the tradition that allows the Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County to make kids feel safe and give them every possible chance to pursue their dreams.
