Memorial for Wade Plummer
Wade Plummer was a friend and someone I've known since I was in diapers. We ran in different circles most of our lives though we had many shared experiences, including struggling with depression. He took his life on April 22, 2022.
Wade was one of the kindest people I've ever met and I wish I had more time to know him better. I planned on getting to know him better and invited him to attend the Beach 2 Battleship 70.3 triathlon in October, which I intend to race alongside my sister.
He gave so much of himself and his time to others. I wish to honor his life by giving back to people and places he valued. Wade graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2002, a stones throw from the start and finish of B2B, and I will be dedicating the 70.3 miles to him.
Funds raised will benefit Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County (Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County), and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that meant so much to Wade.
