Help Us Support Games on the Margins!

boshi’s place is a non-profit organization of friends which aims to build community and support for independent games in NYC. We do this by hosting donation-driven gallery shows, staging performances, and facilitating jams/workshops. We are participants and patrons of marginalized game design communities, and provide space and programming for our communities to thrive.

This month, we’re asking for donations as small as $1 to help us start off the new year with help us start off the new year with polished sunglasses. All donations to boshi's are tax-deductible!

Help Us Support Our Community

Donations are one of our primary sources of funding. Donations go towards maintaining our space, giving honorariums to independent artists, setting up events, and fabricating zines/posters. When our community donates to us, we are able to host more events for the community, and pay artists better.

We want to start off 2026 strong, and we’ve already got some big events planned. With your help, we can make these plans more sustainable.

How Will my Donation Differ From a Comradery Subscription?

That’s a great question. Comradery is a platform for recurring donations, and boshi's uses those funds to host new projects and events, as well as offsetting the recurring cost of rent. We will use the donations from this gofundme to cover some of the one-time, internal costs to the organization— e.g., purchasing new equipment for the space, getting more cleaning supplies, and paying back coop members who have personally taken on costs.
