Border Tails Rescue

Border Tails Rescue needs your help.

Right now, they rely mostly on adoption fees for money. And while adoptions have slowed down, the costs haven’t. Every day they’re covering medical care, food, transportation, and basic needs for dogs who have nowhere else to go.

We started this fundraiser to help them keep going.

Every dollar goes toward giving these dogs a real shot at care, safety, and ultimately a home. If you’ve ever felt something watching one of these dogs… this is a chance to be part of their story.

Even $1 makes a difference when it comes from enough people.

This October, we are both running the Chicago Marathon.

Border Tails isn’t just any rescue, it’s our hometown shelter. We’ve walked through their kennels more times than we can count. We know the staff like family. We’ve celebrated adoptions and met some of the most incredible dogs here. This place truly changed our lives.

We are running to raise funds so Border Tails can keep doing what they do best: saving overlooked dogs and giving them the love, care, and second chance they deserve.

Hi, my name is Sabeli,

I will be running my first ever half marathon on June 1, 2025.

In honor of my first half marathon, I will be holding a fundraiser and all the proceeds will be going to Border Tails Rescue.

A little bit about Border Tails Rescue:

Border Tails Rescue's mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia of homeless dogs by providing shelter and arranging loving homes for adoptable dogs through partnerships with animal service facilities throughout our local area, on a national level through partnerships with animal service facilities in other states, and internationally through partnerships with facilities in Mexico and other underserved areas. Additionally, through education, community outreach, and our spay-neuter program, Border Tails Rescue seeks to reduce the overpopulation of homeless dogs. Border Tails Rescue does not discriminate against any breed, age, size, or ability and takes on many complicated medical cases regularly.
