In 2019 and 2020, I am dedicating all of my race goals, including my 10th marathon, to raise awareness and support for GLIDE:

About GLIDE
1 in 4 San Franciscans suffer from food insecurity.
GLIDE is a radically inclusive, just, and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization. GLIDE offers the city's only meals program providing three meals a day, 364 days a year, to San Franciscans facing food insecurity.
I started volunteering at GLIDE in 2019 and it's a highlight of my weekends -- to serve high-quality, nutritious meals to those in need alongside hard-working staff and volunteers (many of whom were original recipients of these meals).
How You Can Help
Please consider supporting GLIDE. Here are 2 ways you can help:
1) Donate to GLIDE today. My goal is to raise $6,000 for GLIDE by July 2020; every dollar counts. (Tip: Many corporations offer matching gift programs. Check here to see if your employer has a match program).
2) Volunteer at one of GLIDE's meal services. Check out their volunteering opportunities here. I usually volunteer for lunch service on weekends if you'd like to join me!
