At Blount Beginnings, we’ve stood in the gap for men who had nowhere to turn. Some have just come home from prison. Others have been living in shelters or on the streets. Many are fathers fighting for another shot at being present in their children’s lives.
What we’ve learned is this: when you give someone stable housing, consistent support, and the tools to succeed they rise.
They find jobs.
They rebuild trust.
They become better men, better fathers, and stronger community members.
That’s why we’re asking for your help.
We’re raising $200,000 to continue and expand this life-changing work. Here’s how your support will help:
1. Provide Transitional Housing & Basic Needs
We house men who are trying to restart their lives. Your support helps us cover shelter, food, clothing, and hygiene items while they work toward independence.
2. Offer Job Training & Transportation
Through our “Back In The Swing Of Things” (BITSOT) program, we teach workplace skills, help with job placement, and even cover transportation to interviews and work.
3. Cover Documentation & Identification Costs
Many of the men we serve come to us with nothing—not even an ID. We help them access birth certificates, IDs, social security benefits, and more.
4. Expand Mental Health & Family Support Services
We offer ongoing counseling and emotional support, especially for men working to reunite with their children. Rebuilding trust takes time, but it’s worth every moment.
This isn’t just about housing. This is about healing.
It’s about giving someone a chance to be a father again. To believe in themselves again. To walk forward without shame, but with purpose.
