Fitness is essential for healthy living, but for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities -- who face a greater risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes -- it’s vital. John Watson’s daughter has cerebral palsy, and for eight years he’s made it his mission to get people like her moving. Today, his nonprofit, Bloom Fitness, has 24 locations in Texas and North Carolina and is helping more than 900 adults build muscle, community, and a sense of pride.
