Hi everyone,

I’m Taksh, a senior at BASIS Chandler, and I’m requesting you to support a cause that’s incredibly important not just to me but to millions worldwide. As a U.S.-based Director of Project Bliss, I work with other dedicated high schoolers from India to support the education of underprivileged children in India and the United States. I'm dedicating this GoFundMe to the Blind Children's Center centered in Los Angeles, a non-profit that provides early childhood education programs for children ages 18 months to 5 years old, especially for those who are blind and visually impaired and those with multiple disabilities.

Many of us take our vision for granted. This ability to see colors, things, people, animals, books, etc., is something valuable we don't always appreciate. But without this, even the simplest of tasks become difficult obstacles to overcome, and visually impaired individuals face these barriers daily. Without proper support and resources, these challenges can limit their independence and prevent them from reaching their true potential to contribute to our society.

To navigate the world, visually impaired people often rely on a combination of tools and techniques, such as white canes and guide dogs to help them move safely and confidently or Braille and screen reader technology to read and access digital information. Mobility training teaches essential skills for moving through various environments independently. Much of this technology has been funded by donors like you all, allowing visually impaired people globally to access a more comfortable life.

Your contributions will directly impact these kids’ futures by funding educational programs and mobility training, for example. Education is a powerful tool that can open doors to countless opportunities, helping these children lead more independent and fulfilling lives. At the same time, mobility training provides them with the skills to navigate their environments confidently and safely.

Whether a small donation or simply spreading the word, every bit improves these children's lives exponentially. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for them.
