Crisis to STABILITY! Be the HandUp That Changes EVERYTHING!
Since launching our HandUp program in September 2023, Blessing Bags of Warmth has helped over 500 families and individuals take steps toward stability and independence.
One of them was “Tasha,” a single mother of three who had been living out of her car after escaping domestic violence. With no family to turn to and her youngest child battling asthma, every day was a fight for survival. Thanks to a timely HandUp, we covered her first month’s rent and helped furnish a small apartment.
Today, her children are thriving, and she just started a new job.
That’s the power of a HandUp.
This year, we aim to help at least 10 new families each month.
Many of the requests we receive are emergencies... eviction prevention, utility reconnections, food, medication, or transportation to work.
The average HandUp is under $300, but the impact is life-changing.
