Black Student Union

For over 50 years, the Black Student Union has strived to advocate, promote community, and build future leaders in the Black community. We do this through hosting workshops, events, and meetings with academic and community leaders. A huge part of our mission is to ensure Black Students seamless progress towards obtaining a degree.

As we are sure you are well aware, COVID-19 has had an extreme impact on our reach and operations. There has been an alarming number of students who have been forced to leave the University of Minnesota due to financial hardship. In response, the Black Student Union has created a scholarship fund for our general members. This fund will provide the resources our University fails to provide to Black Students. The Black Student Union Scholarship Fund will allow our general members the opportunity to invest in their own education.

We are asking for the help of our community. With a donation, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of multiple students. We thank you in advance for your consideration and continued support of our community. We hope you will join hands with the Black Student Union and other organizations to change the lives of students at the University of Minnesota.
